FPTP has resulted in NDP being, essentially, a beggars party looking for scraps at the Liberal's table. If people knew their vote would actually send someone to Ottawa, I have no doubt that expressly anti-neoliberal, anti-capitalist, and anti-finance people could meaningfully pool somewhere.

But we only really know how much people support these parties in the context of FPTP; voting on the left is always strategic/ ABC. The right — from the "just fiscals" to the absolute crazies — converge on Conservative. Ending FPTP & the duopoly would be our first real look at broader beliefs.
