Meta just announced they’re ending moderation for hate speech, encouraging and enabling the abuse of all marginalized groups. I was already going to delete the last Meta product I still had - insta - before the 19th simply for what they’ve done to TikTok, but now, it will become nothing but a sewer.

Samwise wants SO BADLY to play in all that snow, but he is on leash restrictions for another week because of an injury to his back. We got over 12 inches, and it is unfair that he can’t romp!

If I’m being honest, I don’t really care about non disabled people.
Even less their fear of bird flu pandemic, because if you were listening to disabled people, masking and preparing yourself the whole time, Donald Trump being at the helm shouldn’t really be that big of a problem, right?

My Samwise and I are watching LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring, Extended Edition. Nice cozy fire, full belly as I finally got him to eat, meds on board. Hope your holiday weekend is peaceful and drama free, unlike ours!

Samwise is home safe. The surgery went well. The vet said we caught the bloat very early, and his stomach had minimal bruising and should have no lasting damage. He must have bloated right in front of us, fortunately. He has a cone to wear when I can’t watch him, but he’ll only need that overnight.

Samwise bloated (his stomach flipped & cut off circulation to the organ) right in front of us. He is in surgery now. Hopefully he will come through with flying colors, but epilepsy and anesthesia can be tricksy, and bloat is always dangerous. If you can spare any healing mojo, we'd appreciate it!

I have been tearing out invasive plants, and replacing them with a native food forest. I planted two native passionflower plants, and they are so happy they have spread out a LOT. These are photos of where the vines grew up inside a Rose of Sharon, which is also blooming, and the buzzybutts love em!

My process for decorating my GVS Elipse P100/P3 respirator. I got rainbow crystal ribbon from JoAnn Fabrics, cut it, sewed it together, and glued it to the filter cartridge cover.
I got scrollwork crystals from the Scrapbook section of Michael’s craft supplies, and glued those to the elastomeric.
