Grumpy grandad! Disability issues. The great outdoors. Surprisingly broad music tastes.
Does this mean none of our replies makes you even smile a little…never mind laugh? If this is your full range of emotions I think I’d pack it in!

Is this an irony post???

Why would anyone in their right mind (….‘Cept the traitor, obvs) prefer to end the game with three players rather than two? Twice as likely to have included a Traitor.

Yes, really good. But where is the future supply of Dead White Males in the art market going to come from?

If Baroness Casey has so much time to pick up yet another Government Enquiry, why can’t she get on straightaway with the Independent Commission into Social Care, which Labour has pushed into the long grass - not reporting till 2028. By that time, this government won’t have enough time to legislate.

Anything Reform can do, Tories can do better! I don’t want a “mostly….coherent group of people”.

…and I always thought a mitre was a Bishop’s liturgical headdress!

As a Yorkshireman living in the Midlands this feels all wrong.

Here in Lichfield we look as if we are a town in mourning! All the flags are at half mast on the lamp posts!

Knowing who puts them there is sufficient reason for mourning, I suppose.

Close!

I reckon you’re going to end up short of your destination. I’ve squared 8.1240384 and it comes to 65.99999999.

Congrats to her, but think carefully before you expose her to the pro game. All those disreputable drug dealers, pushing hard drugs like mustard, piri piri, and Worcestershire sauce.

It’s near to the George pub - might that have something to do with it??

I always knew you were a jokester!! Now I’m sure, because Rennies were invented in 1931 by John Rennie, in Rawdon near Leeds. It’s where I was born, and I won’t let you take away one of only two claims to fame (…the other was Brian Close - the cricketer). I’ll go with you on raincoats and cocaine.

I remember one of the music mags had recommendations for best new music - sometime just before 2000. Elvis Costello & Richard Thompson both nominated Ron. About as good as it gets, for me, and he’s been in my playlists ever since.

Are R6M going to broadcast some of your concert??
June 5, 2025 at 2:36 PM
Local Government just stopped being Local. All their councils are going to be cloned. The local leadership are nice figureheads to run the local PR, but with no power. What a disaster…
June 4, 2025 at 9:50 PM
To be fair…neither is Starmer.
June 4, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Often derided, but this track still makes it to the music I want at my funeral (…sorry to bring down the mood!).
June 3, 2025 at 9:56 PM
The article concentrates massively on supply factors. It has little solid evidence on the demand side. The vacancy data it quotes does not prove a reduced need.

Whilst this review is going on it means that all development work in the authority must stop. What about fixing known problem areas such as SEND?
June 3, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Got it in three, but only by gambling that they were reckless enough to use abbr.
