Aethermancer (@moiraigames.bsky.social) is a creature collector roguelike. Gorgeous animation, really cool fantasy cretaure designs, and some deep system-focused combat. It was a lot to wrap my head around, but once I scratched the surface the moment-to-moment gameplay was super rewarding!
A sort of icy minotaur, fire wolf, and tree dragon guy face two weasels and a slime. A blue cloaked wizard guy points, and the tree dragon launches itself at the ooze and punches it, sending rocks flying behind it. "Stone Punch" appears on the screen.

FACEMINER (@faceminer.bsky.social) is a "just doing my job" game about keeping your head above water while cataloging faces for a mysterious data corp! Plays like a clicker but much meatier, and got a lot of nervous belly laughs out of me as someone who used to work at a slophouse (out Feb 27!!)
An oldschool computer desktop has five open windows: an email inbox, a hardware monitor, a music player, a marketplace listing datasets like Filtered Faces and Classified Shared Profile Images, and a panel of faces in the center. The panel rapidly shuffles through a four-by-four grid of faces and corrupted images while an automated cursor selects faces at random.

Social media created space for big ideas — criticism, organization, revolution, accountability — but somehow lost the space for small talk along the way. Trivial and shallow, chit chat is the ultimate phatic expression. I am so sorry, but I actually don’t care that much about the weather. What I meant to say was, “I want to be here with you.”
