you're welcome! i have had numerous types of intolerances of varying severity, and what helped me the most was realizing that anxiety was making it worse. it's not just "in your head", but physical tension in the body can make digestion harder too! hope you can find some relief ❤️

and now all of that is just...gone. and all of my other health problems are now so much more manageable. i can probably claw back some form of a life, although it's gonna take time. but i can eat food, y'all.

it's hard to explain in short form the impact these restrictions have had on my life for the better part of the decade, but it's played no small part in the isolation i experience. socialization was difficult and travel was off the table, and i thought the rest of my life would be like that.

i only tried foods at his urging so i wouldn't be considered non-compliant. different kinds of dairy. rice. then corn. soy. oats. gluten/wheat was the last thing b/c it was the first food i had issues with. it doesn't settle on my stomach great but i am...fine.

in the past, i've had debilitating reactions to all these foods. my psychologist was highly skeptical that all of these were true intolerances after my descriptions of the symptoms and the circumstances during which they developed (a time of severe, chronic anxiety). i literally didn't believe him.
