Had a fabulously #spooky walk around the Skellies and Wellies trail at Tatton Park (Knutsford). Great family friendly fun!

I used to get in a flap trying to throw together a costume for World Book Day every year. But it’s my son’s first year at high school and it’s weird how disappointed I was when I found out they didn’t dress up 😢

Spotted in The Works - the first two books in Jennifer Killick’s Dread Wood series. Great stocking fillers for kids aged 9+ who like a laugh and a scare. Just be prepared for them to ask you for the next 4 books in the series after reading these two!

I loved ‘The Boy Who Cried Ghost’ and ‘Terror Tower.’ What about ‘Spooksmiths Investigate: The Cinderman’? I’ve not got hold of a copy yet but it sounds like an interesting first book in a new series, out this month.

I’m such a sucker. Only went in Pets At Home to pick up some dog food and came out with a dog toy from their Halloween display! But how could I resist a gremlin when I named my dog Gizmo? 🐶

💙📚The 5th Dread Wood book, Fright Bite by Jennifer Killick throws Club Loser into another horrifying situation to escape from using their friendship & humorous quips to battle through it. A shocking discovery towards the end makes me wonder how the story will develop in the next book📚👍
