Man, the micro busts by Insomnia Miniatures are TINY. And I absolutely love them. I'm hoping I can get Nyarlathotep and the Deep One ready for a competition in September! I might even make a video around the Crawling Chaos...

My first bust, Lillith by Bold Miniatures, painted for my first competition, which happened last weekend. It was a ton of fun to paint, I’m definitely painting more busts in the future!
Also, I got a silver medal for it in the competition! 🥈

I participated in my first competition during the weekend, super happy with the result! I got a gold medal in the General category, and a silver medal in Master category!

For some reason I never liked Insidious, despite being a horror fan. I think it’s the fact that the demon looks like a cross between Darth Maul and Krusty the Clown.

Today's #pixelart practice; copying the Megaman X asset. I wanted to see how a slightly bigger character was composed, how the body parts were defined, and how contrast was used.

I decided to attempt to learn a new skill; pixel art. Not bad for my first day! Started by copying the original Pokemon trainer, then use its pixel size as reference for copying Roman Lappat's astronaut model.
Tomorrow I'll try to copy some objects, and use specific color palettes.

What amazes me is both click-through rate and retention are above my average, and yet it’s flopping because the algorithm isn’t showing the video to people. My most viewed video had 70k impressions by now, and this one has less than 5k.

Ran out of resin mid-print, so I had to use the very last drops of every bottle I’ve purchased… that blue one is 5 years old, let’s pray!

The last few days have been so entertaining, with all the stupidity surrounding our president. If there's one thing I absolutely adore about the people in Argentina it's how fast they are at making memes out of ANYTHING, even the bad stuff.

When I got this tarot deck in NOLA, I thought I’d study it a bit for game design and be done. Now I’m practicing my readings almost every night before I go to bed. I honestly didn’t expect it at all. #tarot

For my current project, I need texts that are completely illegible while still having a glimpse of what they should be. For the first time, AI being so uncanny has been super useful. I just asked Photoshop to generate the text, then painted it onto my diorama.

I've been feling down the last few days, and just decided to make myself feel better by looking at my first mini ever vs my last miniature. Holy fuck. Just a bit over 5 years later and I'm here. can't wait to see where I'm at in another 5.
