Musicians, do you actually have a structured plan to launch your next release, merch bundle, etc.?

Or…

Are you just hoping fans buy?

Well, I sat down with an internet pioneer who is responsible $1,000,000,000 in sales using his Product Launch Formula…

I just got done talking to probably the world’s greatest living copywriter, John Carlton!

We talked about music, living life large, and how to become more empathetic and effective in your sales messages…

Musicians,

I just had an incredible conversation with Marshall Sylver and he shared some absolutely incredible money mindset principles, selling strategies, and how to become the entertainer you were destined to be! 💎

People all listen to music for different reasons, but once you know that reason marketing becomes easier.

Musicians, I had an amazing conversation today with Paul Ross (Aka Ross Jeffries) about influence, persuasion, and mindset that will blow your mind, you’ll crack a smile, and learn ways to grow your music business!

Musicians, never forget the transformational nature of your art.

Your art helps people.
March 5, 2025 at 5:19 AM
For most people. Being a musician is almost akin to a form of magic.

Utilize that sense of wonder.

Musicians, commit to being bad.

Be bad at content.

Be bad at sending emails.

Be bad at selling.

Because that’s the only way you’re going to get good a these things.

Just whatever you do, start now!
March 2, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Musicians, creating content doesn’t make you a “social media influencer”. It makes you a marketer.

And marketing is REQUIRED to make it in the music business.

Musicians, it’s time for the rubber to hit the road.

Make a promise to yourself that you’re going to implement the next piece of information that you feel will help you grow your music business.

Do it today, not tomorrow.

The first song of any live gig needs to grab attention immediately.

My band used to let the room get quiet and then the drummer would hit the snare drum like a gorilla…

And EVERYONE’s eyes made it to the stage, & a few hearts skipped a beat but what’s important is we had their attention 😂

Tries to create a GREAT subject line: 35% open rate.

Accidentally sends my email as the subject line: 49% open rate.

The first 7 days a fan joins your email list is the time to put them to the test…

You’re going to send an email every day welcoming them, telling your story (make it relate to them as much as possible), and selling something.

Musicians, business doesn’t have to negatively affect your art.

I’ve actually found it keeps my mind sharp which keeps my creativity sharp as well.
February 27, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Having a client share how their success and progress has helped their relationship with their family…bruh 🥲

Idgaf what anyone says, I LOVE being a music business coach/consultant
February 27, 2025 at 3:34 PM
One thing I hope is that musicians recognize how much more they’re capable of.

Emotions hold us back more than ability.

Take information and turn it into inspiration.

Take inspiration and turn it into implementation.

You think hyper-positive people are the worst?

Wait till you meet a hyper-negative person…
February 25, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Just watched a “label scout” say that they don’t sign artists if:

1) they don’t “like” your content

2) you won’t let them write music “with” (for) you

3) or you haven’t build a fan base already

Then watched Deadmau5 s*** all over her and her terrible advice in the comments…

Brilliant morning ☕️

My favorite part of working with audio engineers, live sound engineers, music videographers?

Paying them because I know what I paid them for is ready! When someone is worth every penny I LOVE paying them.
February 25, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Musicians, I know you’re used to trying to make things perfect because that’s how you are with your music.

But that is something that will hold you back on the business side, it can lead to spending 4-5 hours on things like content, thumbnails, shooting & re-shooting, etc.
February 25, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Yeah I work WAY more for myself than at my previous jobs.

However I enjoy the work about 1,000x more so I’m cool with my 12+ hr days 🤠

Branding builds awareness.
Direct-response creates action.

Idk about y’all but my bank has yet to deposit awareness into my account…

The money fans sent over went in just fine, maybe I need to wait 3-5 business years for the awareness to deposit.
