Golden rule... never lend an addict money. Even if they've been sober/clean for years. The addiction will make them lie and manipulate.

He's not a joke Pete, he has an addiction that's got it's hooks so far into him I don't think he can see a way out. And it's so easy for him to ask for money on SM. We can't afford rehab and the alcohol support round here is shit (once every 3 weeks???).

4) I spent 12 hours in a cell last week cause he lied to the police.
5) he swore on his kid's lives that it wouldn't happen again.

I'm not doing this to embarrass him, or you, but I do think you need to know that your good intentions are enabling an alcoholic who is about to be homeless. 😢💔

Has a garden big as a footie pitch and stands right on the fence smoking weed so I can't open a window, blocks my drive and even uses it if I'm at work, constantly shuffles their 3 cars about at gone midnight, leaves the dog outside all day barking, makes the most horrendous snorting sounds 🤷‍♀️
