In my opinion, this is one of the greatest things to come out of Web 2.0 and Social Media - reviews! You do still have to be aware, though, and able to ignore 'trolls' (for lack of a better term) posting negative things just for the sake of it, or not let the few bad reviews outweigh the good ones.

I appreciate this post since it's something I personally witness daily in my profession (and talked about in my Voicethread!) There is less critiquing of information, assumptions that the first hit is the best, lack of keyword search skills, and thinking 'Google' is a source.... it's is NOT!

I really appreciate your response. I think it's perpetuated by media (aka 'news') in general, which we've always been taught is the 'best' information source.... But different outlets can be heavily biased one way or the other and we just 'assume' it's accurate since we've been brought up that way!
