This young man died at 19, fighting to liberate France (and the world) from Nazis. Never got to get married, have a family, have a career. He would be so appalled now.

It’s hard enough to accept a malevolent entity deliberately tearing down our country. But to see the mechanisms that should protect us from threats “foreign and domestic” failing is really the hardest. I’m clinging to the people and pets who give me peace and happiness.

I am focused on the current sh1t show and impending doom. But, it is important to shift focus frequently to something that relieves anxiety.

So far, my best coping mechanism is walking our property and enjoying the scenery and horses. Then, the fear of losing them causes panic. 😢
