I may not have developed the same eating habits, but I definitely picked up some when I was a kid too, so I totally get that.

Definitely doing way better than where I was before. :)

No, there isn't. Especially when you're trying to take control of your health.

But good on you! The fact that the weight's still coming off is awesome! You got this!!

Couldn't agree more. I think the some people that lost weight by doing intense work-outs, and sticking to a very strict diet considers WLS the lazy way out. "It's not hard - all you have to do is eat less and move more". For some, that's not the case.

I have, but it's just because people don't understand what's actually involved with a bariatric surgery.

I’m gettin’ the spray bottle too, while we’re at it.

Exactly. You have to bust your ass to get those requirements fulfilled.

Oh sure!

Hopefully everything goes well for you.<3

Yeah, those are the people that never had an issue losing weight or have no clue what they’re talking about.

And you should be proud because of how hard it is! You know it’s a constant uphill battle, but we’re rocking it! <3

After the first year, I got down to half my size of 130 lbs and have kept it off since. It has changed my perspective on food. I’m working out(though I should really do more lol) but this was the best decision I’ve ever made, and would absolutely do it again if I had a do-over.

There are also supplements I have to take for the rest of my life. 4x a day, 2 hours apart from one another. As a super ADHD person, it’s super hard to remember.

It trains you to eat smaller portions. If not, there are immediate consequences. There are foods I can no longer eat, and some only in very small amounts. There are a lot of sacrifices you make, but it forces you to make better choices.

A gastric bypass was explained to me that it was a tool for you to use, not a miracle surgery. There’s always a chance you could regain everything you lost. But your eating habits change drastically.

My health was tanking. I resorted to a full gastric bypass, because that seemed to be the best route, although the most intense, and possibly life-threatening, considering my disorders(a blood clotting disorder being one of them).

I’ve been pretty open about this here, but I had a full gastric bypass almost 3 years ago.

Then, I was nearly 260 lbs. I tried long term dieting(keto, Mediterranean, etc), worked out, but nothing ever came off no matter how hard I tried. Having PCOS was a factor in this situation.

As someone that got a partial hysterectomy, it wasn’t the worst procedure I’ve had done? Definitely felt unbalanced for first month, and your body definitely needs adjusting, but I personally thought it was worth it, especially since I also had awful PMS.
