Very nice! The Pointed Nose Painter...forever nameless but quite prolific! It sounds better in French: peintre du nez pointu! The Getty Villa has a couple of these:

Mating finery. Those are called "aigrettes" & they are the feathers people put on hats. Poor birds!!! Trivia time: the great egret is the symbol for the Audubon Society. Sorry for my TedTalk! 😁

I just saw this beautiful creature outside in So Cal. Never saw anything like it before. Anyone know what kind of bird it is?

Best comet I saw in my lifetime was Hale-Bopp. I took a trip to Big Bear Lake in CA in 1997. This was sort of what it looked like from there. Large in the sky; I could clearly see the two tails, blue on the top (ion tail) and white/yellow on the bottom (dust tail). 1/2

1.5M gun deaths in US since we started tracking in 1968. Vaccine deaths are very rare. Here is some info I found from "Deaths following vaccination: What does the evidence show?" Elaine R. Millera, Pedro L. Moroa, Maria Canoa, and Tom Shimabukuroa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Amazing! This exquisite work was made over 2000 years before King Tut!

I like how the description mentions that it resembles the hieroglyph "to bring" & I imagine it holding offerings for the deceased or a deity.

In the late 80s a friend gave me this ceramic mug by Muddy Waters, modern version!😄

The basement of the house I remember as particularly creepy! It was said to have inspired his story, "The Black Cat." I could imagine him writing it down there! It would have been especially scary to be down there at night...👀😱🐈‍⬛ 2/2

I bought these earrings simply because they reminded me of this carving of the Aten from Amarna. #Egyptology #Amarna #Aten

Understood! Looking forward to more #AncientStuff soon! In the meantime, here is a picture of one of my favorites from the Getty Villa in Malibu, California, opening again finally this month after the devastating fires in Pacific Palisades earlier this year

Does that Mallen streak of hers bother anybody else?

Hawley is a typical Trump apologist. Of course Trump can be bought and of course he always needs more money, like all billionaires. Money means power and it's power he really wants.

There's another Romney portrait of her there that I haven't seen but the earlier one has always been my favorite

I always pause to admire this painting by George Romney at the Huntington LIbrary, San Marino CA. She was only a teenager at the time, but what a look in her eyes!

I am so saddened by the passing of Richard Chamberlain. Such a body of work he left us to enjoy for generations to come. RIP 🕊️
