Walked with the Manistee Dems in the July 4th parade! Afterwards I went to Meijer and a lady stopped me. She is from Georgia and was so happy to see our group so numerous (compared to the Republican contingent) and having fun and she loved our positive messaging!

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, candidate for governor, was in Manistee today. It is so important to me that our Manistee Dems get to meet and engage with these wonderful candidates leading up to next year's primary. It was a fantastic event. Special shout out to Motel Bear Lake!

There is a detention center about to happen at the old Baldwin Correctional Facility in Baldwin, Michigan. It's a small town about 45 minutes from us. It's going to be 1800 beds, the largest in the Midwest. Organizers are holding a protest next Saturday, June 21st, info is below.

Come and tell your story! If Rep. Moolenaar won't come to the Town Hall, we are going to send the footage of the event to him! Tariffs, the SAVE Act, Medicaid cuts, and so much more, how is what is happening in DC affecting you, your family, your job? It's your opportunity to be heard.

Just listened to Rep. Moolinaar do his virtual town hall. So nice when he gets to pick and choose what questions he answers. I do think he still needs to face voters in person.
