My favorite recent book is a Canadian/Métis/indigenous werewolf/Rogarou mystery/supernatural/thriller. if you're interested in indigenous history and folklore it's informative in a fun way. It's thrilling & a bit scary. A cracking good story.

Great book. Funny. Insightful. I liked the married couple a lot. Nice twist in the story.

Good reading in May 🌼

My favorites are This Cursed House by Del Sandeen & The Monsters We Defy by Leslye Penelope that are on a list of books recommended for people who like the new Sinners movie. 🖤

Woodworking is amazing--fun, good story & informative. 🏳️‍🌈

My favorite comic as a child. I wish my mom hadn't given away my collection in junior high. Maybe I could have been the queen of the in crowd. 👑

I'm pretty sure that Bunny, Richie Rich, Betty & Veronica, Casper and Wendy the Good Little Witch helped me become the voracious reader I am now.

This book is a mystery combined with a road trip, and ideas are chucked in all over the place to get you thinking, but not -force- you to think. A fast read where things are learned and fun is had. Two thumbs up. 👍👍

A ghost story with gothic elements, black southern historical fiction (1963), and a good mystery thrown in. The setting is near New Orleans with an extended family of free people of color. The pacing is a little slow in parts, but builds momentum.

A quote from The Night Guest rings true for me, of course her ultimate diagnosis was a bit creepier than I'd want.

I didn't want to read this book. I thought it would be too serious. Like Abigail, I prefer to cut through all of the shit and get to the point. At least in books, in real life I'm totally Minnesota nice. This is a good story, not a lecture. It has realistic characters and humor. 5⭐'s

This is an amazing musical. I managed to not cry until the last scene. #TheaterLatteDa put on an amazing performance. The actors were all perfect. The singing was great. I heard someone say they thought it was better than the show she saw on Broadway.

My April reading. another month with lots of variety. The Warmth of Other Suns was excellent. Tanya Huff's new book was great, as was T. Kingfisher's new book. I enjoyed Khan Wong's second book. A Novel Love Story was definitely novel. My favorite book was Murder on the Red River.

I'm not an expert. It just reminds me of an old fashioned flower that used to be common. Apparently they're more correctly called cornflowers. I prefer calling them bachelor buttons. It's a great name. I always imagine an old Norwegian bachelor farmer with one attached to his bib overalls.
