#PoetryPrompt Credit: Robert Lee Brewer
Poetry: A tempest cannot see themselves as a tempest. In fact, they cannot see themselves at all. The buffeting against their senses is too great. The tumultuous cacophony of raging gusts. Fury and form sweeps through and clears any unlucky soul in their path. Surrounded by the shrieking gale, they flow toward low pressure. Driven to occupy and settle. The innate need within them to find that still, calm, quiet spot of land in the sun. To lay their whips of wind and thunder down. To grow languid and hazy in the just-right temperatures. Softening and resting among the trees and fields, now a warm, calm breeze. A tempest does not see themselves as a tempest you see. They were never meant to be one. They were only ever forced by their landscape to be a tornado.
