Problem: since we're displaying text one letter at a time, "Ephem" will fit on the top line, but "Ephemeral" will not. So there's a weird text jump! This sucks to fix because we use markup tags for dialogue.
Fix: Make an "invisible" color tag and shift it thru the text, bozo
