what switcher did you get? I have a CalDigit TS4 - would be nice to have both my laptops hooked up to the switcher which then goes to the CalDigit 👌

I don't really care about having to open source all my stuff or use stuff I'm fully in control of. I don't have time for that shit having tried it in the past. I do care though about the American administration's ability to just threaten withdrawal of digital services for it to get it's way.

It gets even harder if you wanted to move away from American companies in a business context. Endpoint security, device management, O365 / Google Workspace replacements etc. This tech just doesn't seem to exist outside of America. It's crazy how we dropped the ball this much on tech sovereignty.

Thanks man, love it! When I play, I watch the fingers just do what they do. I don’t really, when in flow at least, consciously make an effort at all. It’s fascinating to watch and really hammers home that there’s no David controlling anything at all because he doesn’t actually exist.

I have disconnected completely before and killed all my online presence entirely. It was great but highlighted that I felt professionally disconnected and made me even question doing photography. What was the point if I couldn’t post it anywhere for anyone to see! sounds bad I know 😆

I have been feeling the same. Had to delete Facebook and X. Feels like everyone on all sides becoming extremists in some form or another and I’m convinced half the stuff I’m reading isn’t real (dead internet theory).

DatoCMS has a free tier for very small use cases and is wonderful when paired with Astro and static site builds! More geared as a CMS for larger sites really though I suppose. I am building Go Ape’s new website with this combo. Will probably drop hosting from 15k to 1k a year.
