Pretty pleased with the burgers I made for supper (with homemade onion jam!)

I’m listening to the first Distant Worlds album, and I’d honestly forgotten how PS1-era the tracklist skews. Literally more than half of the songs are from either Final Fantasy VII or VIII.

Distant Worlds I and III on vinyl arrived today. I plan to eventually get the whole set, but damn if shipping from the US isn’t a bad idea right now.

Interesting coincidence that my podcast queue featured back-to-back @jamieloftus.bsky.social guest appearances. Especially during the lead up to the Nathan’s famous hot dog eating contest

Say what you will about the story, the cast, the fact that it’s mostly corridors with invisible random encounters, or the “it gets good after a couple dozen hours” pacing; Final Fantasy XIII did at least have a pretty good score.

And tbh, while I have many complaints about the streaming era of Star Trek, nothing released since Discovery premiered has been on par with TNG season 1 for frankly bad TV stories.
If Section 31 is bad enough that the franchise should be killed, then Trek should have died on October 12, 1987.

The big spaceships were always the LEGO sets I wanted most as a kid. This one was a “shut up and take my money” moment as soon as I found about it.
The reimagining of classic Space sets is *chef’s kiss*

With Alan Wake 2 coming out later this month, I’ve decided to do a replay of the first one. I’d forgotten about the episodic framing of the narrative
