I agree,The conflict in Northern Ireland was a microcosm of all conflict situations and how to solve them.A state endorsed killing of protesters and human rights abuses led to armed conflict.Many died before the 2 extremes came together POLITICALLY.
Politics caused it and only politics can solve it.

All laws are defined by enforcement, not by words. If being brown gets you put in a concentration camp, it's illegal to be brown. If molesting children gets you put in the Oval Office, it's legal to be a rapist.

We already have laws that say this isn't okay. They're being enforced by criminals.
