I draw comics. When I've got time I read them and sometimes write about them, too. Artist on http://mightygodking.com/al-rashad/
I rented this movie on VHS as a new release in the 90s, and hated it. Through circumstances beyond my control, over the next few months I wound up watching it 5x (like I'd walk into a party and they'd have just put it on). I warmed more to it on each viewing, until by the last time I loved it.

I *wish* I had that kind of sway. I'd prioritize getting them all to consistently push their chairs in at the end of class (and about twelve other things) before I got to the gender thing, though.

One of the all time great trailers

The Killer was my first and favourite John Woo movie.

The nice thing about this run they've got going at the theatre is that there are multiple showings for each movie. It's not 'one day and you missed it.' That said, I did manage to miss the screenings they had of Hard Boiled.

In a few weeks they're doing a triple feature of these movies at The Cinematheque.

Unless you sleep in, in which case they'll be there at 7:55 AM and have left by 8.

I wonder if that guy will do like guy Cheney shot and apologize to Trump for creating an awkward moment.

Do none of these people have kids? I can't even get him to put his shoes on when we have to be somewhere twenty minutes ago

That would've been so smart. There's something bittersweet about hearing genius ideas like this and then immediately realizing that the window is closed on them.

These designs look so good! And I'm a sucker the kind of solid blacks you're using in the second image

I did this for a few years and the kids went NUTS. One turned and shouted to his parents, "They gave me comics!" Another walked away from my door with his head already buried in the book and dropped his bag of candy as went, but kept walking. His dad had to run up my driveway and grab the bag.

Geeez. Wow.

I met Klaus at a show when I took him some pages to get a portfolio review. He was really funny but absolutely tore me a new one. I didn't even think to take my TDKR with me.

Exactly the same for me. I'd gotten the book and decided to read a few pages before going to bed. Finished it at around 1 AM that night. I couldn't put it down. Gut punch after gut punch. It's the experience I've been chasing with every comic I've read since.

I feel like I remember you having strong driving opinions even before you had your licence, no?

So interesting to the differences. I really like the logo treatment on the Italian one (though they're all nice).

I know it's unrelated to the point being made, but this is my all time favourite Mitch Hedberg bit.
