Three songs in and I'm wondering what rock I was under when this album came out. I always thought of him as "That guy who covered Leonard Cohen," and that was about as far as I got. A good cover to be sure, but this is so much more.

It is. And a nice change. My current WIP involves listening to a lot of early 2000s Emo. (The love interest is a bass player in a band and she writes her girl an Emo song.) Great Goddess there were some sad MFers in the early 2000s. All that whining takes a toll. This is refreshing!
