I'm shocked that a conservative think tank might not tell the entire truth

I mean, I haven’t voted for BlueTories ever or RedTories since before Blair so it’s between them and whatever gods they pray to. (Our Labour candidate in the Corbyn years was super blue, but I Jezza he could have actually represented some of my position.)

Is it foolish to hang on when one thinks one has a chance to change the course of the ship? If they _believe_ it, then yes, but if they say it to give the wheel a turn, perhaps they think the benefits exceed the moral costs 🤷🏻‍♂️

I literally have a genetic immune condition; the worst part is that I don’t get sick because my immune systems doesn’t notice the infection until I’m VERY sick

BTW: I agree with your ethic here. You’re not wrong. But there are also consequences to that decision which would likely undermine GLAAD’s mission, so they’re having to balance a difficult tension.

They do have a choice, you are right.

The choice is to maintain a presence on one of the largest social media sites in the world, or to leave it, resulting in many of the people who need their services losing access to and visibility of them.

It’s an ethical bind without a simple solution.

One of the reasons Meta can do this is because they have an effective monopoly in this domain. It’s also the reason that organisations like GLAAD don’t really have a choice but to have a presence on the platform. It’s a Catch-22 situation unfortunately.
