I just heard that Billy Stump A.K.A. Billy Synth passed away last week. An absolute unsung hero of psychedelic garage music through both his own music and the Psychedelic Unknowns comps. Both of these LPs are still available and if you don’t have them you should fix that ASAP

Tom Lax from Siltbreeze has been a guest on @bturneroverdrive.bsky.social radio shows many times over the years and it always an amazing listen of ultra obscure and wild stuff. Always mandatory listening. This time I even recognize/ have a few podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...

Finally back in the physical realm, Cheater Slicks “Don’t Like You” is now a double LP with all of the demos as well. Some of these songs have been released as singles, but it is so great to have them all collected here. intheredrecords.com/collections/...

So much promo babble is about listing cool bands in hopes that you will check out the sounds, and often a let down. Michael Beach has arrived at a sound that is true to his influences but truly incorporates them into something fresh, new and great.
