Mainly books, poetry, writing, Reggae and the Cure. Also old stones and anything before the Romans.
This tickled me and reminded me of the scene: Dad stamping around the room, manically waving the phone bill, shouting, "BUT WE DON'T KNOW ANYBODY IN SWANSEA !"

Mum tookme to the library as a child. I was completely not interested in school, but 6 months after I left, and working as a landscape gardener, I was desperate to read a book. Headed to the library. The first was Stillwater Trout, followed by Jack Kerouac and Charles Bukowski, then I was off.

My mum worked in M&S and could tell you something about the psychology of Xmas food shoppers. Once, two women ended up on the floor fighting over a turkey.

I had been searching for my band. I tried Simple Minds and U2. I think I was aware of Boys Don't Cry already, but it was when my mate, Mike, played the first few bars of Pictures of You from Entreat. I was 13, I think. The Cure have never not been my band ever since.

Wish isn't my favourite Cure album but it is my favourite artwork. If you include the B-sides and rarities of that era, it's in my top two.

It’s absolutely massive and such an interesting shape. What, or who, did it represent?

It soothes my brain to give it space to ponder such peculiar things. Thanks.

Wife cooks during the week, I do weekends. Works well because she is brilliant at turning out a no-fuss delicious meal in 30mins. I'm rubbish at that but do a good Sunday roast. Don't mind washing up after while listening to the freak zone on @bbc6music.bsky.social Yes, after 9 when I'm finished.

I read this cover to cover when I was 18 on the recommendation of Colin from Radiohead. I'm not sure how much I retained as it is dense. I keep meaning to give it a second read.
