The McDonald's Chef Salad was a menu item that included a mix of greens, julienne ham, turkey, cheese, chopped eggs, and vegetables. It was introduced in 2000 but was discontinued in 2003.

Around Tomahawk 116, when Neal and Jack take over the covers, he is more often fighting Indians than soldiers. Most have Plains Indians attire and the terrain looks more western than frontier. I believe the stories were being written around the covers at this point.
