I wrote a piece on an indicator-the SOX/SPX YoY-that I think is worth reading.

The SOX/SPX YoY A Semiconductor Cycle Leading Indicator
The Semiconductor Cycle As with most sectors, especially those that manufacture physical goods, the semiconductor industry moves in cycles. We can see this well if we look at the semiconductor

he is not just a bad person. remember this piece? incredible shit from Larry Summer lol. he should have been banned from TV and media 20 years ago www.ft.com/content/7a55...

Went back searching in my tweets and I have been publicly bashing Larry Summers since at least 2012. Over time it evolved from not liking or trusting him at all to referring to him as a bag of shit.

Did a piece on Gov Shutdowns looking at SP500, 10-yr, Gold, USD-DXY, and Crude

pdmacro.com/do-governmen...
Do Government Shutdowns Matter To Markets?
Back during the 2013 shutdown I did a bit of work looking at how stocks did in shutdowns. After all we had not had another one in my working lifetime, and the way the media makes it seem they should

The only "PMI" that matters right now

Semis and all things that go into that seem to still be the only game in town

Presumably with the government shut down no one in the file room is on staff to release the Epstein files.

I wish someone would have asked JPow

"if they were to finally release the Epstein files would you do a 50bps cut?"

I was a kid in the 80's but based on how many times this ad was in the 1990's Institutional Investor archives I will go out on a limb and say the movies showing all of Manhattan doing coke in the 80's were more accurate than not

Hard to see this going anywhere but down for at least a few quarters, and more likely a few years

About as good a technical setup for a short in SPY or QQQ that you can get.

Run up into the 200-Day, stall out, and then register a NR7.1

And then we see it across a few indices.

SPY also hit a TD Sequential Sell Setup (not a full Sequential count, just the sell setup)

Here are a few tariff charts

This one has 2006 to now by year. Since it is kind of packed I pointed out 2018 since it was a step up, and then 2020 because it was the first full year in the tariff era.

btw the lowest year is 2009

Today I learned that Arnold Bernhard, the founder of ValueLine, worked for Jesse Livermore in his office in the late 20's.

In 1928 he wrote a report that was bullish on copper stocks. Livermore read the paper and sold them all short lol.

Soros aka The Palindrome and the Bank of England thing

They describe the whole trade in here-shorting FX, buying stocks, buying bonds. I think MMTG did that as well but cant remember off hand, but it shows as well as we get to see the full trade.
