I have been rewatching Watchmen, in the form of the 2-part animated movie. The similarities between Adrian Veidt, “the world’s smartest man” and Elon Musk who -thinks- he is the world’s smartest man, are striking.

I am making an almost physical effort not to open FB out of habit. Some time back I turned off alerts for it on my phone and with Zuckerterd officially joining the Broligarchs I’m going to avoid giving it much attention outside of maybe Marketplace since it’s really handy sometimes.

Was just on a post about the “Gulf of America” debacle and the red hat lead paint drinkers are saying others are being butt hurt while forgetting they are the same ones that crap the bed every time a road gets renamed to MLK or a confederate statue is taken down.

Apparently calling for violence is a bad thing again now unless you’re a presidential candidate or setting senator. Personally I think it probably is a bad thing, but the double standards for the rich and powerful are part of the problem in the first place.
