I was pretty deep in my “VAN HALEN IS THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD” phase in 1987 and didn’t discover XTC until I bought Oranges & Lemons in the clearance bin because I liked the cover art (and fell in love… and moved on from VH)

This song is catchy as hell. Has a naiveness in the melody that I love. Holly Partridge channeled a lot of this style in the She Beats.
