Was at a reunion a few weeks back and one of the jokes was if we had iWatches and kept up with the activity like we do today - what would have the numbers have been. We also universally we were so lucky for no social media or iPhones.

No, they fought through both for us to have more. My grandfathers would be ashamed of the US as a whole. But they are also the reason I fight - because they got through the Depression and WWII. We still have the ability to fight just as hard.

Breaking Bad Season 2 explains this in regards to the FAA. In real life the cutting of staff, safety councils and probrationary increases the stress of your job outside of your regular life. And being an ATC has never been less than a very stressful job.
