And finally a classic that was apparently CLR James's favourite novel. I keep trying and I keep failing to finish it, so not sure I'd recommend.
'Vanity Fair', still not feeling it like I do Jane Austin.

Also I am reading Easy Rawlins 13 - 'Rose Gold', by Walter Mosley.
Nice easy crime with an interesting backdrop, still going strong. I recommend trying one, probably the first one first.
I have no idea why these are not a medium-high budget film series.

On a lighter note. I am reading three books. Looking for a recommendation?
bell hooks, 'the will to change, men, masculinity and love.' (re-reading, well, audiobook, honest).
Buy this, read this or listen to this. bell hooks renders the complex accessible.

Twenty-seven years and out.
I feel as if I am institutionalised to Middlesex University, I have been so happy in my job for so long that leaving will be quite a challenge.

Interesting article but he implies that only a social psychologist (his subject?) can have an credible view on racism: "If they (politicians) don’t have degrees or past careers in social psychology...then they are no more experts in the topic than you are..."

Are we a racist society? The majority of us say no – but science begs to differ
Although greater awareness of prejudice would suggest we are less bigoted than ever, empirical evidence indicates not

I am slowly moving over here, finding who I follow one by one. It's easier to swap utilities.
