I noticed that even Reform drew the line at giving Lee Anderson a pretend job title.

I wonder what the collective noun for a group of arseholes is?

The FBI is holding back millions of files and illegally censoring the rest. It's crystal clear what was going on but not to the FBI apparently. They blatently redacted Trump's name using AI which is why the word "don't" is missing as it assumed it meant don t.

Like so many articles, this one is very good in it's analysis of the UK and it's government's problems, but I would like to see some credible solutions that will make things better for me/my family AND keep Farage and/or the Tories out of office. I appreciate that's a 'big ask.'

Yes, Labour certainly SHOULD do that. Whether they will or not - i'm not sure, especially under KS who doesn't strike me as one of life's lateral thinkers despite once being a lawyer.

I dunno Tan, my Venn diagram of thick people and racists shows a huge amount of overlap.

On the plus side, support for Reform has plateaued at ~30% for 8 months now - enough to win council seats (few vote in those) but maybe not enough to win a GE where people do vote and some vote tactically.

"*it’s actually 1/2 if we include the Tory vote…absolutely terrifying"

That would indeed be terrifying but..I hope, and it's only my opinion, that most Tory voters (as opposed to MP's) who were going to switch to Reform, have done so by now. Shire Tories might to be too keen on the likes of 30p Lee

I rarely concern myself with royals but we need to stop giving the orangeutan the rusty trombone treatment so i'm in. I was ~ 97,800 so nearly there. Well done to all concerned. While i'm in royal mode, good luck to his son Harry and fellow litigants in their action against Rothermere/Daily Mail.

Your account needs a lot of investment but I'll give you my Nobel Peace Prize if you let me run it.

Some years ago historian Dominic Sandbrook made what I thought was an insightful observation. He said in the 70's the fact there was an alternative system in other parts of the world - communism - had the effect of keeping capitalism mostly honest. I think there's something in that.

He's a fine looking chap!

That's a shame. I don't blame you, I'm still on Twitter/X myself 'cos I joined 17 years ago and resent being driven out

I hope you don't abandon Bluesky completely. After it's superior user base, the next best thing about Bluesky is not getting snared Musk or Zuckerberg's algorithms.

This is cheering:-

A Yale University study published in October found Tesla sales would have been 67-83% higher if it wasn't for Musk's political activities. That equates to between 1 and 1.26 MILLION more vehicles sold.

It's an expensive business being a ketamine-addicted nazi

We are nearing the point where the only options left are being angry enough to do something drastic or just bend over and take it until they kiIl us.

Here in Hackney a few years ago we collected 28 thousand signatures to save a single local tree. That failed too (unfortunately)

Sadly, I think there is nothing that embarrasses Donald Trump. He's just worried that even MAGA's are not enthusiastic about being asked to support the covering up of a pedo ring.

Another pretty coupe - early 1950s Siata 208 with a 2 litre V8

Elvis Presley had one of those BMW 508s. He may have bought it while stationed in Germany.

I wonder how the person who invented the clock knew what time it was? I might have been getting up an hour early for decades. Bastards!
