Was @davidmiller back on Twitter/X
#utpol #NeverTrump Conservative (if that means anything anymore) who wants to bring back a fact-based information ecosystem and bring back the promise of America. (So, relatively inconsequential goals.)
Even better. Thanks for clarifying that.

I like that all members of the #utfwd party were allowed to vote as opposed to the #utgop method of only letting party delegates have a say. #utleg #utpol

Apparently I'm not the first to think of this (although my version is simpler and avoids a bunch of rematches)

This year that would be:
Oregon
Ole Miss
A&M
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Miami
Texas
Vanderbilt.

Pair them up in NFL stadiums based on geography and avoiding rematches as much as possible.

Any school opting out is excluded from the CFP that year (and replaced by the next highest ranked willing team).

This levels the playing field between:
• No doubt teams playing 13 games (Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia)
• Teams getting in with only 12 games (Oregon, Ole Miss, Notre Dame)
• Teams not getting a chance to prove they belong because they missed the conference championship (Miami, Texas, Vanderbilt)

The only way an 11-1 (regular season) Power 4 team should ever be left out is if there are too many of them in a given year to fit in the 5 guaranteed conference champions while keeping all the 11-1 Power 4 teams.

(That is not the case this year, nor was it last year.)

I would argue that whoever makes the cut now (before conference championships) and plays in a conference championship should stay in regardless of their championship game results.

You got the "Never Trump" part right but I stopped considering myself a Republican quite a while ago. Like you, my primary interests are: fair elections, voter participation, and citizen education. And I would add good governance for a thriving society—which I expect you also want.

Thanks for that. Brammer's bill definitely has some red flags like the instant vote and prioritizing his partisan bias calculation over the Prop. 4 rules.

His legislation should be tabeled until we can see examples on the existing districts and the proposed maps to know what it really does. #utpol

I certainly agree with that.

What brings that conclusion?

I tried following his formulas and it suggested to me that it would favor a 3/1 split over 4 GOP districts. (Again, assuming I understood his language.)

If I am understanding the proposed formulas Sen. Brammer's proposed bill sounds like a good one.

Fine, but Department of Injustice is a more accurate description of what he wants from DoJ just like Department of War is a more accurate description of what he wants from DoD.

By converting 10 lbs into 1 inch the daydreamer takes 5'11" @ 255 lbs and turns it into a much more health coach friendly 6'3" @ 215 lbs

That works fine in the fact-free environment of his imagination but falls apart when standing next to someone in reality.
