Interested to meet writers of Literary fiction especially the short story.

Not sure how I feel about Bluesky. Where are the creatives? I feel like all the protestors came here and the writers went to Threads. Both platforms seem too one dimensional

Despite what’s going on in the world, my role and my talents are what continue to energize and give meaning to my own life. We all make a difference in our own way.

Since launching on Feb 25 2021, The Other Side of the Desk has had over 539,000 views. Not bad for one writer in a niche market called The Art World.

Committed to reviewing every book I previously announced about in my editorials that I never did in the first place. A writer keeps his word!

Did not spend my day obsessing over and/or grousing about it. Had work to do. Did it. Was proud. Did not think about him once.

What I can't stand about social media is how whenever some major event is taking place EVERYONE has to say something like it's never been said before. Meanwhile, life goes on. Lots of other things happen on the same day that fill our lives.

The Other Side of the Desk has been publishing articles on art, interviews, and recommended listings on Substack since 2021. This week I have become an official member of AICA: The International Association of Art Critics. Very proud. #artwriter #aica #substack

It’s been a year of much writing, more than I thought possible. I have no regrets, only endless aspirations.

There’s so much writing to get done.

Dealing with middle-aged health concerns is a big distraction from year-end imperatives to finish current writing gigs and get going on a bunch of different passion projects.

I hear that Bluesky is becoming the new place to hear the news of the day, where journalists and politicos are hanging out. I read my newspaper. Don't need a million news sources. There's such a thing as too much reality.

If you like snarky comments you won’t find them here. Not interested in trying to compete with people this way. I have real thoughts.

I offer the opportunity to be seen at any moment in time by avid readers on the experience of art. It’s my talent and my pleasure.

Artists and writers need to become reacquainted with one another. I’m a writer in the art world but I have a purpose beyond writing reviews or catalog essays. I’m more than just a provider of critical conjecture at the moment of commercial success.

Bluesky is finally the place to be. But I’m not your typical poster. I’m neither interested in politics nor in performative snark. I have simple truthful observations not circumscribed by current events, and more protracted philosophies.
