I don’t know what accuracy means here, like how he really made Bruce Wayne a true to life billionaire complete with a typical billionaire’s crime-fighting, alter ego or how he accurately portrayed people implanting ideas in Cillian Murphy’s dream?

Couldn’t even be bothered to remove the ring binding from the edge of their crappy generated “book” image. Imagine how well they’ll treat the winning art.

The worst possible endpoint for said stereotype is people excusing completely unacceptable behaviour because of “lack of social skills” even from I dunno, power mad billionaires. I’ve worked in tech for years with really clever people not one of whom would get away with going full asshole in work.

Speaking as a bog standard software engineer (no games just the boring plumbing of the internet type stuff). There is more creativity to it than is often spoken about. The robot like, analytical nerd with no social skills is a stereotype that really bugs me. I mean in my case it’s true, but still ☹️

Anecdotal I know but I’ve noticed a lot of taller leylandii came down too. Another shallow root conifer.

Lucas’ real skill seems to have been hiring some of the best people when making those movies.

Seems like he’s also owning up to not fully understanding Tropic Thunder.

Not quite true. Someone with about 8 billion could give everyone a quid each.

They peaked with the seismic charge thing that Jango Fett fires in that one Star Wars prequel. One of the few highlights of that movie.

Saying trees are the problem at all is mad but 30m!? Given how small the country is and how many roads and power lines there are that’d impact so many trees. That’s every hedgerow gone, all but the largest gardens treeless. No tree lined city streets. Do they even think before spouting this shite?

The 2007 writers strike.

As a kid growing up in Ireland I have vague memories of the Dunnes Stores strikers on the news as how I heard about apartheid.

It’d be interesting to know why that happens. Could be the stream gets verified once at the start but the call for ads are handled individually and if your location doesn’t match a valid target location for ads it returns nothing.

Nope. Born in New York, moved to Australia as a kid.

It’s an amazing game though. Almost anyone can pick up a controller and have fun with it even if they don’t regularly play games. The assists help younger kids and visually it’s really appealing. Plus loads of tracks and characters.

Finished watching it last night. Was worried for a minute it was going to go all grim dark at the end. Very glad it didn’t.

Or at least have a bunch of crossed out testicles on the side of your car like a WW 1 fighter pilot.

Don’t McDonald’s already say they run their trucks on old chip oil?

Carcassonne junior is great for younger kids. Quick to setup, shortish play time and no reading of cards required.

I guess i get that. I was thinking of all the “Die Hard on a ____” movies from the 90’s where it was one, well trained dude the bad guys hadn’t planned for, picking them off.
December 22, 2024 at 12:01 PM
I enjoyed it but I don’t understand the Die Hard comparisons. More Phone Booth in an airport.

I’m more surprised we haven’t had a Buck Rogers reboot/movie.

Is that like an AoE thing? Does it work against enemies?

In a competitive field that emoji is up there for my least favourite. The good old Dreamworks smirk.

I missed some punctuation reading this the first time and thought this guy was addicted to documentaries about people who were addicted to porn. That’s quite meta, I thought.
