And slowly he comes to see that he can do something about what's going on. And that the actions and kindness of even one person can make a huge difference in a world primarily run through fear and self interest. It's another great story!

David Marino's "The Loaf in the Woods" is also great, following Olaf on a trading shortcut through a haunted wood, with the shunned spirits who seem only to want someone to listen to them, to care, to help. Though Olaf has his reasons to resist, he also has his reasons to resonate with their plight
