Brad Holland is amazing. I don’t think he gets the recognition he deserves

Yes, and there will be untold harm to everyone.

But I would like to hear more coverage about healthcare staff and systems.

We were crushed during covid and have not recovered. The OBBB is another onslaught - hospitals will close, staffing ratios will worsen, and everyone will suffer.

Goddamn it. This is so stunningly racist and unethical.

Shame on everyone who is involved with this trial. May the never live this down.

“Dumpster diving” *chef’s kiss

Thank you

I’m older than you by 2 decades and my answer would be no. However my father, who is more than twice your age would like a word. He was 9 when Pearl Harbor happened, 13 when he heard about Nazi death camps and graduated college in the McCarthy era. Things were pretty bad then too

Good god. That’s not just bad science, it completely irresponsible. And he should clearly know better. He was once an actual scientist.

Thanks, the link you sent worked.

Interesting-I deleted the DB app and when I clicked on the original link, I got a screen that gave me the choice btwn opening in the app or on the web. But it would then immediately refresh to only have the option of opening in the app
December 12, 2025 at 5:22 PM
I only see the option to open in the app where I have to sign in. When I do I get this error message.

Are you able to get to the folder without signing in? Are you using the app or the Web?

This seems to be protected. Is anyone else getting a need to request access notification?

I would love for folks to stop bashing the ACA. It’s clearly not the complete solution we need right now, but it could easily be improved to be universal with legislation
December 11, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Exactly. And honestly, shame on everyone who gave them the benefit of the doubt. Much of this was so very predictable

Also, we don’t directly elect the president. It’s majority rule to elect our representatives and senators, but the electoral college determines president (as we are all painfully aware).

So there is an extra layer of BS on top of the unitary executive theory. The Federalist Society is a blight.

That’s a follow
December 8, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Or, you could just have smaller and larger portion options and…let folks choose. You know, like normal people.
December 8, 2025 at 11:35 PM
It just kills me that there is basically no penalty when these folks lie. And Fox, and other right wing news sources happily platform this.

...for their defense, then they will further chafe against the built in financial advantage that we have.

As has been said before, complex problems always have an answer that is simple, easy to understand and completely wrong.
December 8, 2025 at 3:41 PM
What gets left out of most of the discussions of what Europe pays for its defense is that the US has long benefitted from the post-war financial structures which favor the US - the $ is the world's reserve currency, and we control many levers of global finance. If Europe is going to pay more...

This will devastate the hospitals and systems that provide care. They will reduce services or close, and health disparities will worsen.

This will not be easily reversed. Resurrecting a marginally successful, mission-driven hospital is no small task; the number of groups willing to do so are tiny
December 8, 2025 at 3:25 PM
It is just impossible to maintain the eternal vigilance that our digital world requires
December 5, 2025 at 5:45 PM
I'm a physician who has spent my entire career trying to make health care work better, be safer, more effective, etc for patients (and clinical staff).

Watching this unfold just makes me ill. Cassidy absolutely knew better, sold his soul, and sold out his patients to help his political career.

... in the email. I was pretty annoyed, and almost clicked, when I realized that my bank never used my work email. I did not click, and it was indeed a scam.
