Oh, for sure -- good performances, beautiful animation. But I'm so mistrustful of the ways in which psychological theory is used deterministically that the movie's crafting an entire narrative world around it sort of diminishes the complexity of human experience. And yes, I'm overthinking it.

Sure, there's a risk in making a film that simply repeats pieties about the importance of multiculturalism, though that's not relevant here because the movie assiduously doesn't do that.

Sure, there's a risk in making a film that simply repeats pieties about the importance of multiculturalism, though that's not relevant here because the movie assiduously doesn't do that.
I know you're thinking, that's too slender a plot line on which to hang a 90-minute film, but don't worry - there's still a shocking amount, of time for conversations about the meaning of friendship not to mention some hilarious hijinks involving animal characters with Jamaican and Mexican accents.
