Most people are decent and it's just a few arseholes ruining it for everyone else. One day we'll learn how to marginalise them into obscurity.

No DM's please ...

Unfinished business? This is the guy who told us we should be like Norway...

The BBC is fast becoming the Daily Mail. Take a story and turn it into something far more sinister.

Nobody does this better than Auntie’s resident drama queen - Chris Mason.

Also qualifying as not news is this headline story from the Mail on Sunday. We now have feel righteously angered that Reeves is planning a tax on homes over £2million.

Homes over £2m account for 0.3% of all homes.

At my most generous, I reckon this will apply to 0.003% of all Mail readers.

Blimey. A textbook example of how to comprehensively miss the point. Just read the middle paragraph and ignore everything else including the warning about the data in the middle paragraph, puff out your chest and let loose righteous indignation.

BOTH Antisemitism and Islamophobia are despicable.

@thetimes.com

I'd be fascinated to know why this is not a suitable comment to an article headlined as "Migration destroying Britain ‘from within’, Trump tells Starmer".

Ah yes. The low hundreds aka the few hundreds. Not to be confused with the mighty mid low hundreds.

And yet the BBC very deliberately spins it a different way - twice, if we didn't get the message the first time.

This is the same BBC who told us back in May that growth at 0.7% was not predicted to last.

FFS. We're ahead of forecast. Appalling bias - they should be thoroughly ashamed.
August 14, 2025 at 7:12 AM
It's appalling. A clear indication of bias at the BBC.

There is only one story - growth came in ahead of forecast. They had already reported the story they've decided is the news - growth slowing down - back in May ("this level of growth is not expected to last')

Would it kill the BBC to remind us that the Conservatives Rwanda scheme cost £700 million and only four people were sent - all of them volunteers?
August 7, 2025 at 10:32 AM
Ah. A blast back in time to the end of the '60's when they briefly became de rigueur for Rock Stars.

Ermine for the likes of Daniel Hannan and Toby Young?

This from the IFS...

I'd be astonished if we looking at like-for -like. Bet we're not.

Here's a further breakdown of the UK's expenditure. Interesting that the bottom three always get all the attention while the top two - get none.

Also happened in Miami...

Elsewhere, CH has recently been arguing that the new engines regulations need to be changed "for the good of the sport" (translation: "for the good of my bank balance"). If he is really interested in doing things for the good of the sport he'd resign today.

The Art Of The Deal from someone who would fold like a cheap suit at the first opportunity.

I find it increasingly hard to shake off a nagging feeling that Putin has got his man into the White House.

He's Nelson. Points to it, smirks and that's as far as he'll ever go.
