It’s the great Dick Van Dyke’s 100th birthday! In 2010 Chita flew me and Stephen Cole out to meet with Dick in Malibu with the idea of creating a show for the 50th anniversary of BIRDIE. We spent a delightful afternoon with him, but the show didn’t happen. Unforgettable! #dickvandyke #chita

I'm deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dame Patricia Routledge who was my dear friend for almost half a century ever since 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVE when I started my Broadway career as rehearsal pianist for Bernstein's brilliant score at the age of 23.
