🇺🇸where do we go from here? OEMs and policymakers are incentivized to diversify US supply chains away from China with the right mix of incentives for domestic critical minerals producers and restrictions on Chinese companies. Retaining IRA tax credits with tougher FEOC restrictions is a good start.

🇨🇳 This is on the heels of the recent anti-dumping trade case that domestic producers brought against Chinese importers (of which BTR is the most important). #China dominates the global graphite anode market, controlling 99% of some supply chain steps

No, not #Ukraine 🇺🇦. Even #Canada 🇨🇦 now has geopolitical risk due to the recent threats of 25% tariffs from the Trump Admin despite constituting part of the US defense industrial base and receiving contracts from the #DOD for critical minerals projects.

🚗 Every US OEM (besides #GM) had BTR as their sole/primary graphite source when the transition rule expires. Will the #Trump Admin maintain the current transition rule approvals?Where do these OEMs now plan to source their graphite from?

💰And of course, we're providing a comprehensive rundown on government clean tech #financing. In just the first 17 days of January the government announced more than $74.5 billion of funding awards and $937 million of new opportunities 🤑. We've got you covered with the details!

📜We also published a Clean Tech Legislation Tracker covering the bills introduced in the 119th Congress that are most impactful for the clean tech sector. We're talking #criticalminerals, #semiconductors, #forestry, and new limits on #China for accessing IRA tax credits.

We also analyzed the language they used to advocate for the IRA to see which arguments they found most persuasive with their fellow Republicans. There's a lot the sector can pull from here when learning to talk #cleantech to Republicans.

House W&M is in the drivers seat when it comes to reconciliation, and ultimately, the fate of the IRA. We dug into the statements of the 14 House Republicans (+1 bonus Dem) to see which credits they went to bat for and what that could ultimately mean for the future of the IRA.
