Wow. Craig Breslow played the market perfectly. Got Alex Bregman on a high AAV, shorter-term deal.

Fits the Sox timeline great.

Don’t think they need to trade Triston Casas now, ideally would move Masataka Yoshida if possible.

I would expect Bregman to play a mix of 2B, SS and 3B.

Jim Bowden just said that he thinks the Tigers have the highest offer out to Alex Bregman.

Fascinating. To me, that means if he wants to sign with the Tigers he already would have.

My bet is that Bregman is waiting out the Astros for them to increase their original offer.
