For all the hate he got for his batting average, I am thoroughly convinced he was the most essential Astro for the 2022 season and we would not have won without him. A great career.

I'm curious, Chandler, do you know who holds the record for the most injured MLB team of all time (i.e. the most players injured that started the season healthy combined with injured players that would have been on the team but were injured from the start)? Are we close to some kind of record?

I agree. It's really just a metaphor for my own understanding of what a university ought to be, informed by my own ideals, community, sense of history, etc. In that way I'd say that institutions don't actually have a life, just competing notions of legitimacy.
