After-Care Is An Important Part Of Children's Programming
We're officially in a hostage situation.

Trump is putting a gun to America's head, slowly extracting concession from panicked Democrats.

Game now is to pace the threats until they can safely shoot come 2029. Much easier game than before.

Senate Democrats will be chumps, doughfaces, for longer...

A Mind is broadly characterized by two factors - Agency and Experience. These two spectrum can be used as kind of a political compass regarding AI.

Some prior info --- Studies shows we rank experience higher than agency, as in first we determine if the being experiences high experience then agency.

One of keystone thoughts of Marx was that contradictions of Capitalism will inevitably collapse on itself.

But market can remain irrational before you are insolvent. Perhaps markets can remain irrational forever.

Post-modernists would say contradictions are foundational to societal institutions...

In my last thread, I mentioned that the Video Games Industry is going through something similar to the end of the Studio System in the 70s for movies.

this hasn't really broken through to most people but the state of the games industry is *dire* right now.
I don’t talk about it much because the situation doesn’t really change but it’s still insane to me what an enormous amount of really talented game developers are out of work. just whole studios worth of incredible people, often people who worked on beloved games, unemployed.

Sapiens is one of many attempts of writing The Modern Bible.

The superpower of books like Sapiens is that they require expertise in like 12 academic fields to debunk. So you get these super detailed takedowns of small sections that look to laypeople like nitpicking.

Mea culpa - I actually did not watch the video in full so I might be repeating things and I know this is me being a total hypocrite and I'm sorry and I'll add errata if needed.

Controversial opinion - If eligible, one can be compelled to hold any political office, similar to being compelled to jury duty.

There is an odd worry on the left that people might get tired about progress, but if people got tired about their healthcare, a lot more people would be dead...

I do think they lose interest, which is why there needs to be a constant pep -- best in forms of institution which could be made vigilant.

Cell Phone are uniquely damaging to society because for the first time, people were constantly connected and expected to constantly connected.

Before cell phones, people knew there will be lag in communication that one could discriminate interaction, but after, thoughts of doing so is frowned upon.

One can maybe admit it's not our nature to be selfish or whatnot, but selfishness and violence is part of our history and you can't change that.

We were kicked out of Eden; being outside of Eden is not our nature but we can't go back regardless. And so we have to make do with structured liberalism.

The biggest problem with AI Art is that it's too good.

As in, a person without taste will look at any AI art will think 'fine'. There is no 'bad' AI Art like a bad photo or a drawing.

People with taste will know better, but those without will happily stay on the plateau of mediocrity - that's bad.

When Twitter first became popular, I said to myself to never have micro-blogging account, but sometimes I need to break my own rules and indulge in my desires

I'll try to post in average once a day but it might go either way. Hopefully, I'll use this account for following and searching anyways.....
