Le programme du festival La Chaise-Dieu n’est pas encore en ligne, donc pour le découvrir, il suffit de retrouver les WC au restaurant Anicia, tout près de Montparnasse. Et d’ailleurs, c’est un magnifique resto !

It’s not quite the pink bras of Anna Nicole, but Covent Garden has been suitably decked out for Festen.

I don't normally post photos that I get in press releases, but this one from Hungarian State Opera is pure eye candy.

Even on a skiing holiday, I can’t get away from opera… Marzemino is the wine served by Leporello to Don Giovanni in act 2, grown not far from here. And it is indeed “Eccellente”, as Giovanni says.

Buona sera Milano! It’s Prima night at La Scala - La Forza with Netrebko, Jagde and Tézier. I’m seriously overexcited!

We were planning on seeing fado in Lisbon, but somewhere little. Then we got given tickets to the incredible #anamoura, who does a kind of fado/dance beats fusion, in the huge #meokalorama festival- absolutely stunning music, gorgeous surroundings. #fado #portugal

On what you might call the “Hotel Sacher” test, the Pastéis de Belém café scores an “in between”. Their pastéis de nata are still very good, but no longer “original and best” - we’ve had better in a very modest Porto establishment. (Btw they do nice takeaway boxes) #portugal #pasteisdenata

This is the Livraria Lello in Porto, which claims to be the most beautiful bookshop in the world. There are probably some places which would argue, but it’s not a bad shout… #portugal
