In a change from dabbling in things I don't understand at work, I'm now dabbling in things I don't understand in the house.

(Specifically: why the heating isn't working properly)

I've reached the stage of fatherhood where my work from home lunch is the leftovers from the wee man's dinners ...

@ukri.org I note that here (www.ukri.org/who-we-are/w...) you use the term 'biological sex' and not gender when balancing SATs.

Why does what is (or was) in people's underpants matter here?
Surely this is about lived experiences and perspectives?

Had a great day yesterday at @oxfordchemistry.bsky.social. Thanks to Mike Neidig for hosting, and for colleagues for taking the time to meet with me during a very busy time of year!

(As a bonus, got some rather nice photographs of Magdalen College in the snow!)

... and a cheeky Seatfrog upgrade for the train to York so I have a bit more space and comfort to work (and so I can bankrupt LNER by drinking all of their coffee).

A rare trip away from home this week, starting with a visit to GSK in Stevenage.

Of course, I don't trust ScotRail not to cancel my connecting train (they've done this before...) so I got an earlier train and I've been camping out in Waverley station with a coffee for half an hour...
