Just back from a few days in Kazakhstan’s Burabay National Park. Blue skies, steppes, mountains - and the caves used by Kennesary Khan, the last independent ruler of the Kazakhs, in the Chinggisid line.

Anyway, here’s the Chor Minor in Bukhara. Built in imitation of the more famous version in Hyderabad, and a reminder that Central Asia wasn’t always remote - but a highway connecting cultures.
