That's really interesting, 'cause during the initial release of Way of Water, the versions were the opposite: HFR at Scotia and standard 24fps at Yonge-Dundas.

JAWS 3D is ridiculous, BUT I've always loved two aspects of it: Philip's genuinely gnarly and terrifying death, and the portion of the climax that begins right after the shark has broken through the viewing window; that part is legitimately tense and exciting, at least to me.

Nice! What's the film from the Czech Republic?

And the specific station identified is "CLSY Beacon Radio" and "Radio 660: The Beacon." As someone born, raised, and currently living in Ontario, that's the standard way to introduce a broadcast in these here parts.

You won't be able to sustain disbelief because, basically, PONTYPOOL is set somewhere other than New Mexico? I mean... strange, but in any case: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_si...

As far as career cappers go, the final scream and the house going dark in Twin Peaks: The Return sums everything up perfectly, doesn't it?

My condolences as well, Luke. For me, it was Mom and Dad, only 3 years apart. And yeah, there are moments in the film that are extremely painful to experience, but, like the best stories that are about our own mortality, Wolf Man reminds us that we're not alone. In other words, yes, bring tissues.

Thanks much. :) And do check out Wolf Man. Even if it ultimately doesn't work for you, there's still plenty in it to, ahem, chew on. (Forgive me).

Hugs right back.

It's so good. There are sequences that I almost couldn't sit through because of how true to life they felt. The film has devastating insight.

As someone who lost the two people I love most in the world to cancer, your film was resonant and deeply cathartic for me. Thank you.
