We must learn to let people offend each other. I agree with Trevor Philips on this one. We can learn through vigorous debate.

Very sad to read of passing of Johnnie Walker. Amongst many other achievements, he and his wife Tiggy were super ambassadors for @carers-uk.bsky.social as joint patrons. They were both super professional & wonderfully approachable. RIP

Johnnie Walker, much-loved BBC radio DJ with an authentic love of music and an easy style
A listeners’ favourite, he bounced back from scandals including ‘payola’ in the 1970s and a News of the World sting revealing cocaine use

Having served on the board of the Strategic Rail Authority throughout SRA’s operational life, I know the complexity of running the railways. 1 thing is certain: whoever owns railways, there needs to be much better effort to look after disabled travellers.

Australia passes world-first law banning under-16s from social media despite safety concerns.
I think this is a really important issue touching on the responsibility of social media companies & what is the optimal ethical approach here. Definitely something for @ibe.org.uk to examine!

'Refused service yet again with my guide dog - I'm done speaking out'
article from BBC website. It really makes my blood boil that 30 years on from the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act, disabled Britons are still experiencing this kind of discrimination, illegal treatment and abuse.

There’s no ‘slippery slope’ to assisted dying
As so often with OpEds by Danny Finkelstein, I find myself agreeing with all his arguments here. On balance, I am in favour of Assisted Dying Bill and hope that it passes.
