I don't have a yard myself, but I wanted to share anyway. If (or when, like economists are predicting) the economy crashes in a way that's worse than the depression was, shelves will be empty and inflation will skyrocket. That's what happened after the '29 crash. People literally starved to death.

Some crops are best planted in the fall and can be harvested throughout the winter, depending on how cold it gets. For example, kale that is grown and harvested in the fall/winter actually has a sweetness to it that it doesn't have when planted in the spring. Some carrots and potatoes, too.

I am so used to bad shit happening now that I can't believe that they'll swear her in. My gut instinct is SCREAMING that they will manufacture some bullshit excuse to delay until they're sued into complying. I hope I'm wrong, but I've watched these motherfuckers for a decade. Nothing surprises me.

That made me smile. I really needed it, so thank you.

The GOP won't think that way and here's why. It's clear they don't think they're ever going to leave office. So they don't need MAGA anymore! We know the Dems are aware of this. Their surrender today was them abandoning us after we fought FOR THEM. I've never witnessed this level of white hot fury.
November 11, 2025 at 5:09 AM
You're right. I've been engaged with politics since 2015 and I've never seen this level of anger on the Dem side. We are generally pretty chill, but today? I've never seen so many calls for DEM primaries. And I've never seen ELECTED officials publicly say the party leader needs to step down.

If Kaine thought our response to that was going to be, "Aww, shucks, Senate Democrats! Knowing that there were MORE of you who were going to fuck us over? You get a pass from the voters now." Yeah, not bloody likely, pal. In fact, it just makes us even more angry and determined to primary them.

Gut punch is a good way to put it. I felt gut punched when I heard they caved.

The answer on them learning seems to be never.
November 10, 2025 at 11:44 PM
That, too. I guess we'll see, won't we?
November 10, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Absolutely. They clearly don't understand that most of the party is closer to Bernie now. Looks like some folks will have to find out by being primaried.
November 10, 2025 at 10:25 PM
They think we're fucking dumb.
November 10, 2025 at 10:21 PM
🤣

I think this part if the Dem narrative was a red herring. They already have the GOP votes on record when they passed that god awful big ugly bill.
November 10, 2025 at 9:41 PM
Yes, but will they? Another wrinkle is that Trump was, and still is, threatening to nuke the filibuster. Dems in the Senate absolutely don't want that, so they ultimately caved. Wanna bet he'll pressure the GOP to nuke it, anyway? Time will tell.
November 10, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Yeah, no excuse. The DeJoy mess is what made me go back to in person voting. Knowing that he's still there and the GOP is trying to make mail ballots invalid if they're received after election day, even if they're postmarked on election day? All they have to do is slow down delivery. Drop box only!
November 10, 2025 at 8:35 PM
He knows it won't succeed. All 8 of them do. They just want that vote so they can get Republicans on the record. Of course they'll vote no on the subsidies. Dems want to use those votes against the GOP in the midterms. So I won't be surprised if Thune goes back on his word for that reason alone.
